I've recently rediscovered the power in the MBTI personality profiles and now I'm wondering if they can be used to help you invest. I searched around on Google for a site that would list something like the 16 personality types and give well matched strategies for how each type should invest. I'd want to see where the investing powers are listed in addition to their weakness and blind spots for each type.

I suspect that [E]xtraverts are more oriented for day trading and [T]hinkers like buy-and-hold better but I'd like to see if someone has actually researched into this.

Is there any research into "investing" personality profiles for the MBTI personality types?

Here is a study done in 2000 that looks into retirement and the MBTI types. It asks the question "Is There a "Retire Early" Personality Type?" It comes to a couple conclusions, one of which says IN-- types are better suited for early retirement. I think the study needs to be redone because the internet, at the time the study was performed, was to biased towards introverts.

Here is a page that critically reviews an investing and personality type study. It doesn't show the personality types and the investing strengths and weaknesses for each one but it does have some good information.
