If I move my Roth IRA account to a brokerage like E*TRADE, can I use it for day trading? and I guess the other question is should I?

Day trading IMHO is a full time job. ROTH IRA is meant for long term investing which is against the grain of day-trading. ROTH Retirement accounts line up more with Buy-and-Hold strategy. Having said that, there is nothing that will prevent you from Day-trading in your Roth account.

some brokers will charge seemingly exorbitant fees on trades in IRA accounts when they exceed a given number per quarter. – shabbychef May 15 at 19:07
